On behalf of our client, a reputable international Healthcare organization operating within a highly specialized and regulated environment, we are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Commercial & Operations Director to lead its Cyprus operations.

The Role:
Reporting directly to international leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business while ensuring the highest standards of patient experience, compliance, and service delivery.
The position requires a leader who can successfully balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, combining strong commercial acumen with operational discipline in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The Commercial & Operations Director will be responsible for:
- Driving commercial performance and sustainable business growth.
- Leading day-to-day operations and ensuring organizational effectiveness.
- Building, developing, and motivating a high-performing team.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, ethical, and quality standards.
- Aligning commercial objectives with operational excellence and patient-centred service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Business Management
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the organization.
- Lead, develop, and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary local representative of the business with key stakeholders and partners.
- Translate strategic objectives into effective local execution.
Commercial Growth & Business Development
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive sustainable growth.
- Expand local and international referral networks and strategic partnerships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market development initiatives.
- Support international patient acquisition and market expansion efforts.
- Ensure commercial initiatives are operationally feasible and aligned with service capabilities.
Operations & Performance Management
- Oversee daily operations, resource planning, and capacity management.
- Ensure exceptional service delivery and patient experience standards.
- Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators across the business.
Financial Management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor business performance against financial targets.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and margin improvement.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while safeguarding service quality.
- Ensure effective allocation of resources to support business objectives.
Service Development & Innovation
- Support the development and enhancement of service offerings and customer journeys.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and business improvement.
- Collaborate closely with professional and clinical stakeholders to implement new initiatives.
- Ensure sustainable and compliant implementation of new services and operational improvements.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and industry requirements.
- Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, and reputational risks.
- Promote ethical decision-making and professional integrity across the organization.
- Maintain high standards of governance, quality assurance, and operational controls.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of commercial leadership, operational management expertise, and strategic business acumen.
Requirements:
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Management, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership position such as Commercial Director, Operations Director, Country Manager, Business Director, Clinic Director, General Manager, Managing Director, or a similar role.
- Experience within healthcare, life sciences, medical services, medical tourism, or other highly regulated service environments will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen and operational discipline.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth and operational performance.
- Strong financial and commercial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
- Experience leading and developing small to medium-sized specialized teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with international leadership teams.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on and results-oriented approach.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Proficiency in Greek will be considered a strong advantage.
