Columbia Beach Resort is looking for a creative, passionate and motivated Pastry Cook to join our Culinary Team, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts and pastry products in line with our 5★ luxury hospitality standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparing and presenting a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes and other confectionery products
- Assisting in the preparation of desserts for à la carte restaurants, buffets, banquets and special events
- Following established recipes, portion specifications and presentation standards
- Ensuring consistency in product quality, taste and presentation
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety in the pastry kitchen
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP procedures and the Resort’s food safety standards
- Monitoring the proper storage, handling and rotation of ingredients
- Supporting stock control and minimizing food waste
- Maintaining pastry equipment and workstations in good working condition
- Working closely with the Executive Sous Chef and other members of the Culinary Team to ensure smooth daily operations
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar position, preferably within a hotel or professional pastry kitchen
- Diploma or certificate in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts or a related field will be considered an advantage
- Good knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, ingredients and equipment
- Creativity, attention to detail and passion for pastry and dessert preparation
- Understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and safe food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Positive attitude, reliability and strong team spirit
- Basic communication skills in English; knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage
