The Service Lead Technician will be part of the Service Operations Team and will report to the Local Operations Manager. The role combines hands-on technical responsibilities on wind turbines with the coordination of the activities on field and daily dispatching activities, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service operations at the wind farm.
🛠️Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the activities of the local service technicians on site
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic turbine systems
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health, safety and quality standards
- Support the team in resolving complex technical faults
- Plan and dispatch daily technician activities, considering safety conditions, weather forecast, material availability and service priorities
- Communicate with customers before and after interventions and provide updates on daily activities
- Prepare accurate reports regarding maintenance tasks, snags, incidents, downtime and daily activities
- Manage materials, tools, service vehicles and local stock at Service Point
- Use internal systems and tools for reporting, planning, dispatching and material booking
- Support knowledge sharing, field training and technical development within the team
- Coordinate with back-office teams, service coordinators and the Local Operations Manager to ensure high turbine availability and customer satisfaction
