1. Job Summary
The Student Services Administrative Officer (SSAO) provides operational and administrative support for the Student Services team. The SSAO ensures the smooth functioning of international student support, new student onboarding, service learning programs, and departmental communications. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality service for students.
The SSAO collaborates with Student Services staff, student assistants, and other departmental teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all student-facing services and administrative operations.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1. International & New Student Support
International Student Advising: Conduct workshops and 1-on-1 consultations for international students (residence permits, AFM, bank accounts, rental contracts).
Documentation & Logs: Process enrollment paperwork, maintain student logs, and keep emergency contact lists updated.
Orientation & Tours: Lead Pre-Departure Orientations (PDO), coordinate on-campus orientation across departments, and give campus tours.
2.2. Communication & Marketing Support
Social Media & Web: Create, schedule, and monitor content for Student Services social channels and website.
Admin Tech: Manage the department's Google Calendar, monitor the shared email inbox, and assist the Registrar with electronic transcript distribution.
2.3. Program & Administrative Management
Student Assistant Program: Oversee student placements, schedules, hours tracking, and performance feedback.
Office Support: Provide back-up reception coverage, handle mail distribution, and support general departmental logistics.
3. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Previous experience with administrative tasks, student services, or social media management preferred.
4. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Technical: Google Suite, social media platforms, Canva, photography/video support.
Languages: Fluency in English and Greek required; additional languages a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong communication and public speaking, teamwork, time management, adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
