Athenian Mattress Company is currently in search of a Brand Lead for Media Strom brand at Markopoulo Attica.
Athenian Mattress Company is the market leader in Greece in the manufacturing and trading of sleep products. The company operates the country’s most advanced mattress production facility — and one of the top three in Europe — setting industry standards in design, quality, and hygiene. As a model manufacturing enterprise, it delivers pioneering sleep solutions tailored to modern consumer needs. The company develops and manages a portfolio of sleep product brands that serve distinct segments of the market, addressing a wide range of consumer and business requirements. These brands include Media Strom, Stromatex, Zenius, and Sleep Dimmer. Athenian Mattress Industry is supported by a robust and continuously expanding distribution network, currently comprising approximately 400 retail points, 2,700 hotels, and multiple e-commerce platforms.
Role Purpose
Brand Lead is the commercial voice of one segment’s portfolio (e.g., Mattresses, Pillows, Covers, Linen, Beds). The role turns positioning into retail stories, omnichannel messaging, and execution-ready toolkits that help the segment win in-store, and online. It’s about understanding what sells in-store, creating a consistent language across touchpoints, and enabling Sales/Trade/Digital to activate the segment portfolio with clarity and impact. Owns messaging & toolkits for the segment portfolio across categories, ensuring every SKU has a clear consumer promise, RTBs, and conversion triggers.
Reporting to Marketing Manager.
Key Accountabilities
1) Segment Positioning & Messaging Architecture
- Strategic commercial planning, including pricing, positioning, and promotional investments.
- Own the segment’snarrative, value proposition, tier logic, and differentiation versus competitors.
- Buildand maintain aSegment Message Bank - hero messages, RTBs, proof points, emotional/functional benefits.
- CreateSKU-level messaging - what we lead with, what we prove, what we simplify for store teams.
2) Retail Storytelling
- Translate features and tech into consumer language and retail.
- Create in-store scripts and storytelling flows.
- Ensure messaging works in real store dynamics.
3) Toolkits, Briefs & Campaign Packs
- Produce briefs for Trade, Digital, Creative Agencies - assets, formats, claims, tone, RTBs, mandatory elements.
- Deliver monthly/seasonal Segment Communication Packs for focus SKUs - POS, window, social angles, e-shop modules, CRM.
- Coordinate with third parties for print readiness, POS rollouts, and store deployment.
4) Omnichannel Consistency & Brand Governance
- Ensure “one language” across in-store → POS → e-shop → paid/social → CRM.
- Run touchpoint audits, stores and e-shop and fix drift, visuals, naming, claims, messaging.
- Maintain the segment’s claims library - approved wording and substantiation references.
5) Launch Readiness & Sales Enablement
- Own segment launch readiness: Launch Playbooks, training content, FAQs, key objections & answers.
- Support Sales with battlecards and “why us” differentiation for the segment.
- Partner with Training to drive adoption of scripts that teams actually use.
6) Performance, Insights & Optimization
- Continuous analysis of category, competitor, and product performance.
- Track performance of activations (sell-through, conversion signals, campaign KPIs).
- Gather insights from stores, customer feedback, competitor monitoring, and propose messaging/ product tweaks.
- Run lightweight testing (A/B message tests online, in-store script trials) and iterate.
