Your work will include:
As a Compliance & Privacy Officer, you will be responsible for supporting and strengthening the organization’s compliance and data protection framework, ensuring adherence to complex regulatory requirements and internal governance policies across a multi-entity financial environment. The role is with a two-year fixed-term employment contract, with the possibility of renewal or conversion to a permanent position upon completion of the initial term, subject to individual performance evaluation and business needs.
More specifically:
- Manage compliance activities in line with applicable regulatory frameworks governing financial markets operations
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations and internal processes
- Develop and maintain the data protection framework, including privacy policies and procedures
- Maintain and update the Record of Processing Activities
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments and support privacy-by-design implementation
- Handle data subject requests and support data breach management processes
- Prepare compliance reports, action plans, and presentations for senior management and governance bodies
- Support internal governance activities, including updates to internal rules, committee frameworks, and compliance manuals
- Provide advisory support to business units on regulatory and data protection matters
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external regulatory authorities when required
- Maintain compliance documentation, knowledge bases, and regulatory reporting repositories
- Contribute to risk mitigation initiatives across operational and strategic business areas
What we are looking for:
- Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or data privacy roles
- Knowledge of financial services regulations will be considered a strong advantage
- Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to produce structured reports and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail and structured working approach
- Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and professional ethics
- Interest in digital transformation, data governance, and emerging technology topics (e.g. AI, automation, regulatory tech)
