Night Auditor
Location: Thessaloniki, Greece
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a polite and warm welcome to all guests, manage all department’s related operations (check in/out, payments, keep front desk tidy, answer and redirect all incoming calls and e mails, receive letters or packages and distribute them)
- Audit and balance reports from the day shifts; check figures, postings and documents for accuracy; record, store and analyze computerized financial information
- Follow the department cashier and credit card closure procedure; prepare a summary of cash, check and credit card activities
- Build full knowledge of the hotel facilities, activities, daily events and the local area too
- Check to see that all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments; liaise and cooperate with other departments (reservations, housekeeping, maintenance)
- Maintain at all times a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene
- Ensure excellent response to all guest requests / complaints; maintain confidentiality of guest’s information and follow proper protocol
Qualifications / Personal characteristics
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position ideally within a 5* Luxury Hotel
- Excellent knowledge of English language; a second language (German, Russian or French) will be considered as an asset
- Computer literacy, experience in Opera / Fidelio programs and excellent mathematical skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities,
- Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management
- Problem solving personality with enviable customer service skills, a team player passionate about the job and focused on providing high quality results
