ICAP Executive Search, on behalf of its client, a well-established company operating in the maritime industry, is seeking an IT Manager to join its team.

IT Manager (6321/ITM/ESS/GR)

The IT Manager will oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, systems and cybersecurity across shore-based and vessel operations, ensuring operational continuity, security and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Shore Office IT

• Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Microsoft 365, cloud services, telephony, backups, virtual environments and end-user devices.
• Provide advanced technical support to office personnel, ensuring smooth daily IT operations.
• Administer the ship management system (PMS, crewing, purchasing and accounting modules), coordinating with external vendors on upgrades, user access and integrations.
• Develop and implement IT and cybersecurity strategies, ensuring system security, data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Oversee cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, access management, MFA, system updates and security awareness, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage IT projects, external vendors, budgets, software licences and IT assets, while supervising and supporting IT personnel.

Required

• Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in the maritime industry.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, virtualization and cybersecurity.
• Experience with vessel IT systems, satellite communications (VSAT, LEO) and maritime cybersecurity requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and vendor management skills.
• Fluency in Greek and English, flexibility for urgent support and occasional vessel visits abroad.
• Relevant IT certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCNA, Microsoft, ITIL).
• Familiarity with onboard OT systems and vessel takeovers.
