PLC Programmer

On behalf of our client, a leader in advanced electrical and automation systems for the shipbuilding industry in Piraeus, we are searching for a specialist to join their elite Automation team.

This is your chance to develop and implement cutting-edge solutions that power the next generation of industrial and maritime vessels.

As a PLC Programmer you will have to: 

• Programming, configuration, and commissioning of PLC systems, with a strong emphasis on Siemens and/or Schneider platforms.
• Developing and implementing advanced Motion Control applications for servo and stepper motor systems.
• Designing and optimizing cam profiles, as well as synchronized and interpolated axis movements.
• Integrating CNC functionalities and G-code based applications into automation projects.
• Interfacing with HMI/SCADA systems and configuring industrial communication networks (e.g., EtherCAT, Profinet, CANopen).
• Providing on-site technical support, system commissioning, and troubleshooting for projects in Greece and abroad.

For the PLC Programmers' position you need to possess:

• University degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Automation Engineering
• 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the marine or manufacturing industry.
• Proven expertise in programming PLC systems, with strong knowledge of Siemens (e.g., TIA Portal) and/or Schneider Electric (e.g., EcoStruxure) platforms.
• Excellent command of the Greek & English language, both written and spoken, including proficiency with technical terminology.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for project implementation and support.
