We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for internal and external reporting in line with Omya accounting and reporting guidelines (including monthly and yearly closing, local taxes and tax returns, national statistics, statutory reporting, and legal requirements). The role also includes ensuring compliance with the Internal Control System (ICS), company policies, and the timely implementation of internal and external audit findings (tax, finance, etc.).
Requirements:
- Ensure all ICS deadlines are adhered to. Coordinate internal audits.
- Control owner for finance ICS controls and documentation.
- Apply Group standards, policies and directives and ensure compliance with local rules and regulations, such as the Accounting and Reporting Manual (ARM)
- Ensure maintenance of Intercompany service agreements in accordance with CP15
- Support the monitoring and managing local treasury, liquidity planning and finance requests
- Support compilation of annual statutory accounts
- Support the completion of the annual external statutory audit
- Support the timely review of VAT Returns
- Support preparation of Intrastat, Extrastat, EC sales list, corporation, local and other taxes ready for submission.
- Completion and submission of statistical data to government departments
- Support MYDATA reporting
- Eliminate or reduce non value adding activities and implement process improvements
Education : University (Degree in finance/accounting)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial position(s)
- With a technically strong financial accounting background, including taxes
- Experience with SAP in multiple modules and strong technical skills in Excel will be highly appreciated
Knowledge and skills
- Have a good level of financial, audit and taxation knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of internal control frameworks
- Proactive, open minded and solution-oriented person
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in English (C2)
