We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef – Commissary to join our culinary team at Conrad Athens The Ilisian. Responsibilities
- Prepare and pre-assemble ingredients for daily menu items in accordance with recipes, hotel standards, and timelines.
- Manage food supplies, including stock control, proper storage, portioning, and organization of ingredients for all departments.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other chefs to ensure that all culinary operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring freshness, minimizing waste, and maintaining consistent quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage practices and strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting seasonal ingredients and assisting in sourcing local products.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality deliveries.
- Monitor food costs, labor costs, and other overheads to support kitchen efficiency and profitability.
- Participate in tasting sessions and provide feedback on flavor, consistency, and presentation.
