Περιγραφή

Thrace Plastics Group is a Greek multinational Group, which activates in the production and distribution of polypropylene & polyethylene products. The Group has production facilities in 6 countries and distribution and trade companies in 4 countries. The Group operates a distribution network which extends to more than 80 countries.

Thrace Nonwovens & Geosynthetics (Thrace NG), member of Thrace Group, is seeking to fill the position of:
Product Development Engineer

The job holder will be based in Xanthi.

Main responsibilities:

  • Investigate material science for new products development
  • Initiate laboratory evaluation of new products and processes
  • Work on Research Programs in cooperation with Educational and Technological Institutes
  • Provide technical advice and support both internally and externally
  • Liaise with suppliers, test houses and customers to develop projects and resolve on-going issues
  • Organize and evaluate machine trials for new products and processes
  • Ensure the smooth transfer to production of new products/processes
  • Produce and maintain all the relevant documents and files
  • Organize sampling storage, access and retrieve

Requirements:

  • University Degree (Material Science / Chemistry / Mechanical Engineer / Chemical Engineer)
  • PhD or Research Experience would be an asset
  • Fluency in Greek and English (written & spoken)
  • Excellent computer knowledge
  • Excellent communication, cooperation, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focused on results
  • Creative thinking
  • Knowledge of product and process development would be an asset
  • Industrial experience would be an asset
