We are seeking a professional to join the Purchasing Department of a group of companies in the Nothern Suburbs.
About the Role:
You will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s procurement and commercial operations. You will be responsible for sourcing products/services, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring cost efficiency while adhering to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Source, negotiate, and procure goods/services to meet organizational needs
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement-related documentation
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and/or other regulations
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 2-3 years in purchasing, procurement, or commercial roles in the Shipping Industry and/or Real Estate Management is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong Command of English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience with Benefit will be considered an asset
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
