Skroutz Last Mile, is building a next-generation courier service that compliments the e-commerce experience pioneered by Skroutz. Our company delivers over 5,000 packages a day and is rapidly expanding its services to other cities.

We are currently the #1 Carrier in Greece in terms of Customer Satisfaction as a result of various innovative services that we have launched, including real-time tracking and notifications, automated customer support and rescheduling.

The city of Thessaloniki is the next part of our journey and also the first of our expansion to major Greek cities.

What we are looking for
We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead the Operations team of our imminent launch in the city of Thessaloniki. Your role is to ensure the smooth running of daily operations and lead our business development. Thus, you will organize, coordinate and support all day to day operational activities. Ultimately, you will cooperate and report directly to the Head of Operations, based in Athens.

Operations Manager duties and responsibilities include overseeing all operational procedures and suggesting ways to improve the daily operational process. A successful Operations Manager is able to prioritize tasks, take initiatives and handle multiple stressful situations, to accurately handle all administrative duties.

Examples of your daily tasks
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives
  • Handle the training and supervision of recently appointed Skroutz Last Mile drivers
  • Successfully handle in real-time any incidents that may occur during the delivery process
  • Suggest and apply improvements regarding the whole operational process and ensure the application of existing ones
  • Cooperate with the Fleet Manager to ensure all vehicles are fully operational
  • Liaise effectively with the Head of Operations and members of the Management team, based in Athens

Requirements

Your Skills & Experience

Experience
  • Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or a similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience in planning and managing projects and contributing to product innovation
  • Experience in high growth & scale environments
  • Experience in analyzing and maintaining operational data
  • BSc in Management or relevant field
Skills
  • Hands-on mentality and proactive approach
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Strong collaboration & leadership skills tied with an easy-going attitude
