Accountant
Location: Nicosia, Cyprus
DANOS is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is looking to develop their accounting career within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
Prepare and process invoices, supplier payments, and customer receipts
Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations
Assist with VAT preparation and submissions
Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records
Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting
Support internal and external audit processes
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements
Collaborate with internal departments on financial and administrative matters
Perform additional accounting duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA will be considered an advantage
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
Knowledge of Cyprus VAT and tax requirements will be considered an advantage
Fluent in Greek and English (written and spoken)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting software
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and problem-solving skills
