As a Chief Accountant, you will lead the accounting team, manage the financial reporting processes, and ensure the integrity of financial data. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the hotel, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with all financial regulations. Your expertise in accounting will be essential in driving the hotel’s financial performance and contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger maintenance, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
- Monitor the financial performance of the organization through budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning.
- Manage and ensure the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Supervise the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and national tax regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to protect hotel assets and uphold financial integrity.
- Collaborate with department heads and senior management to provide actionable financial insights and support data-driven decision-making.
