Optimal, on behalf of its client, a leading company in the Retail sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Commercial) to join its dynamic team.
As a Senior Financial Analyst (Commercial), you will play a key role in supporting commercial teams with data-driven insights and financial analysis. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to monitor performance, identify profitability drivers, and support strategic decision-making that enhances business growth.
Key Responsibilites:
- Partner with Commercial and Channel teams to support performance monitoring and data-driven decision making
- Perform profitability analysis across categories, channels, and vendors, identifying key margin drivers and opportunities for improvement
- Support and coordinate month-end closing, as well as budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Translate financial data into clear commercial insights, providing actionable recommendations that drive business performance
- Maintain ownership of categories P&L, ensuring effective performance tracking, variance analysis, and alignment with financial targets
- Prepare reports and analyses to support strategic planning and business initiatives
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of proven professional experience in a Financial Analyst or Commercial Finance role in the Retail industry or in a FMCG role
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial performance drivers
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial analysis tools
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
