Position: Senior Accountant, Tax
Location: Aspropyrgos, Attica SARMED, a leading company in the logistics (3PL) sector, is looking to fill the position of Senior Accountant. The suitable candidate will provide support across the full spectrum of processes within the Finance Department. The position reports to the Finance Director and is based in Aspropyrgos, Attica.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of Tax Returns (VAT, Income Tax, etc.)
- Participation in the preparation of Financial Statements
- Ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial cycles
- Development and monitoring of corresponding internal procedures
- Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with changes in tax legislation
- Monitoring and reviewing the MYDATA platform (Invoices/Notes)
- Communication with other Departments/Divisions for guidance and coordination of tasks related to the area of responsibility
- Participation in and coordination of tax-related projects
- Recording entries in General Accounting
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting or Finance. A relevant Master’s degree is desirable
- Very good knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards (ELP) and good knowledge of IFRS
- Very good knowledge of MYDATA and Inventory Movement
- A’ Class Accountant License will be preferred
- Knowledge of ERP information systems as well as MS Office
- Experience with SoftOne will be considered an additional asset
- Very good command of the English language
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
