ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of its client, a leader in value added marketing and distribution of chemical products, is looking for a skilled professional for the position of Technical Sales Manager to join its team. This role is based in Athens.

Technical Sales Manager (6060/TSM/ESS/GR)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically knowledgeable Technical Sales Manager to manage B2B sales of chemicals for the personal care business unit. The role involves developing strong relationships with customers and suppliers, providing technical expertise, introducing innovative products, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with current and potential suppliers to ensure product availability and quality.
  • Gather and analyze market information, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Track new raw materials, technologies, and innovations relevant to personal care products.
  • Conduct regular visits with customers to maintain and develop strong relationships.
  • Analyze client technical specifications and propose optimal solutions that meet performance and quality standards.
  • Negotiate agreements, close sales, and follow up on payments.
  • Record sales and order information accurately in the system.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of technical formulation processes, ingredient functionality, stability testing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Continuously develop high-performing, market-relevant formulations.
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, product demonstrations, and industry events.
  • Prepare meeting and progress reports to support company operations.
  • Liaise with CSR teams to monitor order progress.
  • Inspect stock quantities and review sales performance to meet or exceed targets.
  • Participate in sales team meetings and share best practices.

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Experience in B2B sales of chemical materials within the personal care industry is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of technical formulations and industry trends is a plus
  • Business development and customer need analysis
