Job Role: As a Restaurant Hostess at Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage reservations and seating, and assist in coordinating the overall dining experience. Your professionalism and guest-oriented approach will directly contribute to delivering exceptional hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Welcome: Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, making them feel immediately comfortable.
Reservations: Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the restaurant's occupancy while accommodating guest preferences. Record reservation details and maintain an organized reservation system.
Seating: Escort guests to their tables, coordinating with waitstaff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Menu Presentation: Offer menus and inform guests of daily specials, promotions, and wine selections. Provide descriptions of menu items and assist with any dietary or special requests.
Guest Information: Answer inquiries regarding the restaurant's offerings, hours of operation, and special events. Provide information about the hotel's amenities and services.
Cooperation with Waiters: Collaborate with restaurant waiters and kitchen staff to coordinate guest seating and ensure efficient table turnover. Communicate any special requests or guest preferences.
Guest Recognition: Develop relationships with regular guests, recognize repeat guests.
Guest Assistance: Address guest concerns or inquiries and assist in resolving any issues, such as special seating requests or accommodations for guests with disabilities.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain an organized and presentable hostess station at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality role preferred.
- Excellent command of Greek and English languages; knowledge of a third language will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
