Role Overview
The Spa Therapist is
responsible for delivering spa treatments with technical excellence,
mindfulness, and emotional intelligence, in full alignment with Zélia Spa Brand
Standards and Standard Operating Procedures. The role combines professional
treatment delivery with strong guest awareness, impeccable hygiene standards,
and contribution to the overall sensory harmony of the spa. Therapists are
expected to uphold Zélia’s philosophy in every gesture — from the first welcome
to the final farewell. This is a hands-on, guest-facing position requiring
presence, consistency, and respect for both ritual and routine.
Key Responsibilities
Treatment Delivery & Technical Excellence
- Perform all massage, body, and facial treatments in accordance with approved
Zélia Spa protocols, timing, and sequence.
- Maintain focus, rhythm, and silence throughout the treatment experience.
- Adapt techniques intuitively based on guest feedback and physical cues.
Guest Experience & Care
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally, offering water or herbal infusion
upon arrival.
- Conduct discreet pre-treatment consultations to identify preferences,
sensitivities, and contraindications.
- Explain the treatment sequence clearly and calmly, ensuring guest comfort and
trust.
- Escort guests quietly to and from treatment rooms, maintaining a calm and
respectful presence.
- Offer aftercare advice and product recommendations with sincerity and without
sales pressure.
Operational Readiness & Support
- Prepare treatment rooms before each session according to opening and room setup
checklists.
- Sanitize treatment beds, tools, and surfaces before and after every guest.
- Replenish linens, oils, and amenities discreetly and according to par levels.
- Maintain the sensory balance of treatment rooms (lighting, scent, music,
temperature).
- Assist with daily and weekly inventory counts and stock organization when
required.
Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols as defined in the Spa
Operations Manual.
- Maintain impeccable personal hygiene, grooming, and professional appearance
at all times.
- Disinfect tools and equipment according to established schedules.
- Know and follow emergency, first-aid, and evacuation procedures.
Team Collaboration & Professional Conduct
- Participate in daily briefings and contribute
constructively to team alignment.
- Support colleagues during peak hours by assisting with room readiness and
guest transitions.
- Communicate calmly, discreetly, and respectfully at all times.
- Uphold Zélia’s standards of professionalism, discretion, and mutual respect
within the team.
