Stewarding Supervisor

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Stewarding Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Stewarding Supervisor oversees the work of the Stewards, ensuring that all areas are kept clean and free of hazards. The Stewarding Supervisor reports to the Back of House Manager.

As Stewarding Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Maintain the cleanliness of all stewarding areas and kitchen equipment, while keeping accurate records of cleaning schedules and chemicals used
• Lead, train and supervise the Stewarding Team, while ensuring Mandarin Oriental standards are followed
• Ensure all set-ups and supplies are in place for each function
• Ensure all breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and inventoried for warranty
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is in working order, report any items in need of repair and create an engineering request
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for all colleagues

As Stewarding Supervisor, we expect from you: 

• Valid EU Passport or Hellenic Residence Permit
• Previous working experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or in a similar role in the hospitality industry
• Good level in English & Greek
