Friendly, out-going, passionate and able to relocate? On behalf of our client, a Luxury Boutique Hotel in Chania, UWORC is recruiting a Waiter/Waitress for the upcoming season of 2023.
A succesful waiter is an active listener with a sharp memory and positive attitude willing to provide excellent guest services alongside the F&B team.
What to expect:
• Maximum of 9 working hours per day.
• One day off per week.
• Payment on time.
• All wages and benefits are included as required by law.
• Two meals per day.
• Accommodation inside or outside the establishment with or without cohabitation (maximum number of people in the room depending on room measurements).
• Training and Development
The Role:
• Greet customers and hand out menus.
• Performing opening duties such as setting tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins and replenishing condiments.
• Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen.
• Make menu recommendations and inform guests of any specials.
• Deliver meals and beverages to tables and beach side when they have been prepared.
• Check that guests are satisfied with their meal.
• Prepare the bill for tables when requested.
• Cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid.
• Administer change to tables if needed.
• Maintain dining area clean.
• Working as part of a fun, high-energy team.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

- Previous experience as a waiter in luxury hotels or a la carte restaurants.
- Degree in Hospitality or related seminars will be concidered an asset.
- Able to speak Greek and English language clearly and fluently. A third foreign language will be considered an asset.
- Able to always provide excellent guest services as an ambassador of Greek hospitality.
- Previous knowledge of POS and PDA systems will be considered an asset.
- Consistent, professional dress, and manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing environment.
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.
