Senior Mechanical Engineer (Energy Projects) – Ref. 6269/MEP/ESS/GR

Job Overview

The role focuses on engineering design, implementation, and operation of energy infrastructure projects. It covers the full project lifecycle from design and development to construction and long-term operation, while the position is based at the company’s headquarters in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical assessment of hydropower and pumped storage projects.
• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical installations, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults, coordinating repair activities with internal teams and external partners.
• Coordinate project execution and implement technical improvements to enhance performance, availability, and asset lifetime.
• Participate in the development of new projects within their area of responsibility, ensuring timely technical input and follow-up on all required permits and approvals.
• Support technical decision-making and contribute to the reliable and efficient operation of energy assets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Energy sector).
• Master’s Degree in renewable energy, hydropower, or hydraulic works will be considered a strong asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience with involvement in energy, hydraulic, or infrastructure projects, or hands-on experience in the maintenance of industrial plants or facilities.
• Excellent command of English.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering-related software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
