The Asylum Procedures Officer – interim support (First Instance - Casework) works under the supervision of EUAA in performing some or all of the following tasks:
Work as a member of a team of experts on the processing of applications for international protection, following the relevant detailed GAS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Conduct interviews with applicants for international protection
Prepare opinions on applications for international protection
Comply with the productivity targets
Work under the guidance of the appointed EUAA Team Leader, the EUAA Field Support Office (FSO) and the EUAA Field Coordinator (FC)
Research country of origin information for the needs of the processed cases
Keep updated, maintain excellent understanding of and implement all developments in guidance, quality feedback, SOPs
Perform support tasks for the processing of applications for international protection at first instance, in accordance with the relevant working instructions
Conduct relocation interviews and draft relocation assessments
Be available to participate in missions, as per the operational needs of EUAA
Participate in meetings and trainings organised by EUAA and/or the GAS Asylum Processes & Training Unit
Participate in meetings with the EUAA Field Coordinator/Field Support Officer and provide respective information
Provide to EUAA regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services and challenges
Upon agreement between GAS and EUAA, perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile
