Mediterranean Shipping Company Greece S.A. with headquarters in Geneva, MSC the World's Leading Shipping Line operating on container services, is looking to recruit a dynamic Executive to join the Sales Team and drive growth in the shipping division.

About the Role

The successful candidate will focus on creating and booking new selling opportunities. By using a consultative approach on selling, will build customers' relationships, and manage bookings. The carried expertise will be used to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers, ensuring excellent coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Canvass the Greek Market for import and export customers by contacting and visiting them
  • Maintain and build the customer accounts under a handled portfolio
  • Maintain communication with assigned by the Company Customer’s portfolio
  • Manage a Customer’s support team for the clientele under candidates responsibility ensuring proper follow up of quotations, Customer’s feedback, booking creation and follow up as well as proper preparation of the respective in-house invoicing platforms
  • Work closely with the assigned team and maintain responsibility of the budgeted performance
  • Prepare reports and stats as may be required to the Commercial Management
  • Sell company's added value services such as intermodal Services, Customs Clearance and Insurance services

Qualifications

  • +5 years of proven sales experience within liner shipping, containerized transport, or intermodal logistics
  • Solid experience with CRM systems and effective management of sales pipelines and customer portfolios
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets within a highly competitive liner environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Core Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly in freight rates, service contracts, and commercial agreements across key trade lanes
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with B2B clients, including freight forwarders, key accounts, and direct shippers
  • In-depth commercial awareness of liner shipping dynamics, including trade lane development, capacity utilization, and market fluctuations
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to propose tailored end-to-end transport solutions (ocean, feeder, and intermodal services)
  • Strong understanding of container logistics, scheduling reliability, and operational constraints affecting service delivery
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, shipments, and deadlines across different trades
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned trade lanes and customer portfolios
  • Effective collaboration skills, working closely with operations, network planning, and customer service teams to optimize service offering
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven liner environment, managing disruptions such as delays, roll-overs, or capacity constraints
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, particularly in addressing operational challenges and maintaining customer satisfaction
