Position Overview:
We are seeking a
proactive and detail-oriented Post-Fixing Operator with 2–5 years of relevant
experience to join our operations team. In this role, you’ll handle the
end-to-end execution of charter parties while working closely with the
Chartering Desk (CP Desk) to ensure seamless communication from fixture to
voyage completion.
If you have a strong operational background and a good grasp
of commercial shipping dynamics, this role offers the chance to work closely
with brokers and clients — and grow into a key point of contact within the
company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and
coordinating all post-fixture activities, ensuring smooth execution of charter
parties, and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, shipowners, and
charterers.
Key Responsibilities:
- A proactive mindset with a focus on
delivering accurate and timely results
- Manage all post-fixture operations
from fixture recap to voyage completion
- Work in close coordination with the
CP Desk to understand fixture terms and relay key details to relevant
stakeholders
- Monitor vessel movements and ensure timely updates to clients
and stakeholders
- Handle laytime calculations, demurrage/despatch claims, and
voyage documentation
- Liaise with shipowners, charterers, agents, and other
third parties to resolve operational issues
- Maintain accurate records and
reporting for each fixture
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory
obligations
- Issue the Debit Notes
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in post-fixture operations (shipbroking or shipping company preferred)
- A working knowledge of charter party terms, voyage execution, and laytime calculations
- Strong coordination and communication skills, especially in cross-functional roles
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to connect with customers and go the extra mile in resolving their issues/ concerns
- Familiarity with operational issues (e.g., bunkering, port delays, cargo handling)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with shipping systems is a plus
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus
- A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering accurate and timely results
