Role Responsibilities

• Analyse the needs – design, develop and test software
• Improve already developed applications
• Work on interactive map-based applications that visualize and manipulate large geospatial datasets
• Develop, document and demonstrate modern, high-performance WebGIS solutions
• Ensure responsive design across desktop and mobile devices
• Maintain clean, modular, and testable frontend code
• Actively contribute to improving usability of complex geospatial workflows
• Build functional demo applications to showcase available services
• Determine system specifications and standards

Core Technologies

• Frontend Web Technologies (Essential)
• JavaScript, TypeScript
• Next.js, React
• HTML/CSS
• Additional Knowledge (Nice to Have)
• Python/Flask/FastAPI
• REST APIs
• Geospatial Libraries: Mapbox GL JS, Leaflet.js, Deck GL, Turf.js
• Design Tools: Figma, Inkscape
• Previous working experience with geospatial data

Other Skills

• Familiarity with Software Version Control (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
• Familiarity with Agile methodology (Scrum)
• VS Code
• Asana for task management
• Leverage the power of AI coding assistants

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Informatics or related technical field
• At least 1 year of previous experience in similar role
• Delivery within schedule and other constraints
• Communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Fluent communication in English, especially written
• Experience with testing methodologies
• Confidentiality
• Military Service: Candidate must have completed mandatory military service, if applicable
