The position was mainly established to support the needs of ASSO group in offshore equipment manufacturing. The main purpose of the job is to support the equipment and machinery that will be used on board vessels during offshore projects. The candidate will participate in the programming of control systems using PLCs-VDF, PCs, robots, and other more specialized controllers. He/she will be actively involved in the installation, assembly and troubleshoot of the equipment onboard the vessel during the Group’s projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop PLC programs for control of various electro-mechanical systems, based on electrical drawings;
- Designs, develops and implements SCADA applications;
- Designs, develops and implements HMI for SCADA Applications;
- Performs application/HMI simulation, testing and startup support;
- Assembles and modifies sub-assemblies, final assemblies and systems;
- Inspects and tests production product to ensure proper operation per established test criteria;
- Sets up and tests units to meet specified requirements;
- Keeps supervisor updated for any unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect production schedules;
- Troubleshoots electrical and automation problems to determine route cause of issue and recommend a corrective action;
- Maintains adequate inventories of electrical and PLC spare parts and requisitions replacements as required;
