Role: Product Design Lead (Full‑time, Remote or London Office)
You will be the first design hire, setting the design direction and quality bar for the entire company. Working closely with the CEO, product, engineering and communications teams, you will translate ideas into intuitive, functional experiences for partners and customers.
This role covers end‑to‑end product experience: product design, interaction and motion, brand expression, and even physical touchpoints beyond the screen.
We’re looking for a highly creative, driven individual who can bring clarity, structure and vision to an early‑stage product and turn it into a coherent system.
Responsibilities
- Own the user experience across platform, web and mobile
- Turn founder intent and early concepts into clear, usable product designs
- Keep product look, feel, behaviour and brand consistent across all touchpoints
- Collaborate with engineering from early concepts to handoff, QA and iteration
- Build and maintain a lightweight design system
- Design marketing and growth touchpoints as part of the product experience
- Design for trust, clarity and safety in a regulated real‑world energy system, including edge cases and failure scenarios
Experience & Skills
Required:
- Strong product design experience across mobile and web
- Solid understanding of native iOS and Android design patterns
- Ability to design and prototype interaction and motion
Nice to Have:
- Experience in early‑stage startups or ambiguous environments
- Experience with enterprise/B2B products in complex domains
