Responsibilities
As a Data Center Engineer, you will play a vital role in keeping critical infrastructure running seamlessly by performing the following key duties:
- Provide 1st level technical support for Data Centre colocation services.
- Monitor Data Centre infrastructure (power, cooling, etc.) and engage specialized teams in case of system failures.
- Diagnose and solve connectivity issues using Digital Transmission Analyzers (IP/OTN/SDH).
- Implement physical network connections (fibre and UTP patching) for customer service provision.
- Rack, stack, and configure IT equipment safely within the facility.
- Manage tickets, customer service requests, and site visitors' access and logistics (equipment storage, rack escorting).
- Deliver 1st level monitoring for core network devices, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
