Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Thessaloniki - Tagarades, Greece (Full-time)
OET Energy Technologies is a deep-tech company developing next-generation Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) technologies and the world’s first fully automated Roll-to-Roll manufacturing line for integrated OPVs. OET commercializes OPV through pilot installations, technology transfer, and turnkey factory solutions. OET is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our executive team.
Role Overview
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Driving technical sales strategy and customer engagement
- Expanding into new geographic markets
- Managing relationships across the sales lifecycle — from lead generation to after-sales support
- Translating technical features of our OPV solutions into business value for customers
- Bridges technology and market, leading complex B2B sales cycles for OPV pilot projects, greenhouse and BIPV integrations, and manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical-commercial sales for OPV pilots, demonstrations, and early deployments
- Translate customer needs into technical & commercial proposals
- Develop and manage strategic client relationships and accounts
- Support feasibility studies, system design, and ROI/business case development
- Work closely with R&D and engineering teams
- Build relationships with: greenhouse & energy developers, industrial partners, public entities
- Support negotiations for: pilot projects, technology licensing, turnkey manufacturing lines
- Deliver technical presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
- Identify new sales opportunities and manage market expansion initiatives
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and sales forecasting
- Support clients with product integration and technical troubleshooting
- Prepare detailed commercial offers and manage order processing
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
- Represent OET at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings globally
Ideal Candidate Profile Required:
- Engineering or technical background (Energy, Materials, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
- 5+ years in technical sales / solution sales / BD in energy, cleantech, or industrial tech
- Ability to manage long sales cycles & complex stakeholders
- Strong communication skills (technical + executive level)
- International experience (EU / Middle East a plus)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel internationally
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related disciplines and fields
- Experience in renewable energy, electronics, or high-tech B2B industries
- Familiarity with organic electronics, thin film or solar energy technologies
- Presentation, Reporting & high Negotiation skills
- Data analysis & project coordination
