Greece, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Procurement Officer.
The purpose
of the Procurement position is to respond promptly to purchase requests,
ensuring the best quality at the most competitive cost, while always
maintaining and improving the necessary specifications where needed.

🖋️You will be
reporting to: Procurement Manager
What you
will do:
- Actively
participates in the creation, review, organization, implementation, and
monitoring of the procedures, policies, and systems of the Procurement
Department.
- Actively
participates in the proper and comprehensive formulation of specifications for
issuing RFQs (Requests for Quotations).
- Creates reports and
comparisons of products/services to support decision-making.
- Thoroughly
understands the critical points in contract formulation, their specific
characteristics, the involved parties, the contract goals, and the optimal
quality/price ratio.
- Responsible for
maintaining physical and electronic records of offers and contracts implemented
by the Department.
- Collaborates with
the Finance Department to stay informed on payment issues and fulfill general
financial terms of contracts.
- Supports the
resolution of disputes: defective products, quantities, delivery times, and
project shortages.
- Reviews and approves
delivery notes and invoices, confirming their accuracy.
- Creates and
maintains a supplier file that is continuously updated, based on data from
supplier collaborations, allowing for the selection of competitive and quality
suppliers for each need.
- Visits trade
exhibitions and communicates with suppliers to expand the database of quality
suppliers.
What we are looking for:
- Degree from a Higher
Education Institution in Business Administration.
- At least 4-5 years
of experience in procurement, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Necessary knowledge
of ERP systems and excellent computer skills.
- Enhanced negotiation
skills.
- Ability to manage
conflicting interests.
- Ability to review
contracts.
