ICAP Executive Search, on behalf of our client, a leading infrastructure development and management company in Greece, is seeking for a Operations & Maintenance Director to join their team in Crete.

Operations & Maintenance Director / Crete (6186/TMD/ESS/GR)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designs and monitors the annual budget of the Directorate in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives
  • Develops and oversees the overall organizational structure of the Traffic & Maintenance Directorate, in collaboration with Senior Management and HR
  • Supervises and approves the preparation of the annual maintenance plan, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and the approved budget
  • Supervises Section Managers, Engineers and 24/7 field personnel (Control Center Operators, Patrol Units, Emergency Response Teams), always ensuring operational readiness
  • Ensures the adequacy and implementation of crisis management procedures, approving planning and task allocation while safeguarding operational effectiveness during critical incidents (e.g. adverse weather conditions, traffic disruptions, emergencies)
  • Monitors all operational processes related to critical motorway situations and coordinates action plans in cooperation with relevant public authorities (Police, Fire Service, etc.)
  • Provides guidance throughout subcontracting procedures for Maintenance and Traffic Management services, including tender submissions, techno-economic evaluation of offers and negotiations
  • Oversees subcontractors’ performance and ensures that all contractual KPIs are fully met
  • Ensures the implementation of Quality and Health & Safety procedures, core operational manuals and the maintenance of required certifications

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Project Management will be considered an asset
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a leadership role in the construction and/or maintenance of infrastructure projects; experience in road infrastructure projects is strongly desired
  • Proven experience in team management, subcontractor management and budget preparation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a demanding, 24/7 environment
  • Willingness and ability to relocate and reside in Crete is required
