Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Housekeeping Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Pool & Public Area Cleaner ensures all swimming pools and public areas are cleaned and maintained up to the Mandarin Oriental standards. The Pool & Public Area Attendant reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
As Pool & Public Area Cleaner, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Clean swimming pools, surrounding areas, and all public spaces, including outdoor furniture, walkways, glass surfaces, and mirrors. After cleaning, dry all areas, fixtures, and surfaces
- Ensure pool areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe throughout the day
- Replenish towels, amenities, and supplies in all assigned public areas
- Collect used towels and dispose of waste from pool and public areas according to hotel procedures
- Arrange sunbeds, umbrellas, and outdoor furniture to meet Mandarin Oriental appearance standards
- Remove used trays, glasses, and other items from poolside and public areas
- Ensure to sign in and out for keys and hand-held device on a daily basis
- Hand over any special requests to the incoming shift leader or respective manager
- Report any suspicious person or item in the pool and public areas
- Report missing, damaged, or substandard furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Ensure that public area equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and functioning properly
- Ensure all assigned areas are completed, with correct status marked at the end of the day, including any information for input into maintenance or housekeeping records
