Electrical Engineer – Wet & Dry Cargo Vessels

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our technical team, supporting a fleet of Wet and Dry Cargo Vessels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and ensuring the reliable operation of electrical, electronic, and automation systems onboard our vessels.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical and electronic systems onboard vessels.
• Monitor and support the maintenance of electrical equipment, automation systems, generators, switchboards, and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation-related issues in cooperation with vessel crews and technical departments.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, service providers, and onboard personnel to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Support planned maintenance activities and ensure compliance with applicable maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Assist with electrical inspections, repairs, upgrades, and technical projects.
• Provide remote technical assistance and attend vessels when required.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and service reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in the maritime industry, preferably with Wet and/or Dry Cargo Vessels.
• Strong knowledge of marine electrical installations, automation systems, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Familiarity with PLCs, power management systems, generators, and marine electrical equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a technical team.
• Willingness to travel when required.
