Waiter - Waitress

We are looking for a highly energetic, results driven and experienced candidate.
The ideal candidate functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to the company.
The position reports directly to the F&B Supervisor of the company.

Responsibilities:

The Waiter is responsible to provide professional and customer focused service to the guests, ensuring their stay will become a memorable experience.

• Responsible for offering guests of the lounge bar an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience.
• Must be comfortable discussing food and spirits, wine choices with guests in detail.
• Responsible for setting up tables, serving food and beverage to guests, and clearing/cleaning tables.
• Provide an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests’ needs and as an expert on the menu options.
• Provide information to guests in regards of facilities, events and services
• Keep a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance

• Have sound knowledge of spirits, beers, wine, cocktails and coffee.
• Excellent communications skills with a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Attention to detail and work in a fast paced, diverse work environment.
• Candidate should hold valid work authorization for the EU.
• Knowledge of a third language (i.e. German, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, etc.) will be valued accordingly
• Degree in Hospitality/Tourism is highly desirable
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and of at least one PMS software (ie. Protel,) and P.O.S. system
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Waiter/ess in a 5* multicultural hotel environment
• Knowledge of fine dining service standards and procedures
• Proactive, able to work efficiently under pressure, to make decisions and come up with effective solutions
• Hands-on approach, flexible, with a positive attitude
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
