Banquet Supervisor

As a Banquet Supervisor, you will be a key member of our banquet team, directly responsible for overseeing the execution of events and ensuring that our service standards shine through. Your role will involve managing the banquet team members, ensuring all setups and service flows are executed with precision and attentiveness, and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This position is vital in delivering the luxurious atmosphere that Conrad Athens The Ilisian represents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of banquet functions, ensuring the delivery of consistently exceptional service in accordance with established luxury standards.
• Lead, train, and mentor the banquet team, cultivating a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
• Oversee the preparation and setup of all banquet spaces, ensuring adherence to event specifications and seamless adaptation to client preferences and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal departments to guarantee that all event needs are fulfilled and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• Monitor event floor activities with vigilance, anticipating guest needs and addressing service requirements in a proactive and discreet manner.
• Assist in managing inventory and maintaining effective control of banquet equipment, supplies, and related resources.
• Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations governing banquet operations.
• Responds quickly to unexpected issues or last-minute changes.
• Handles client requests and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Willing to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within banquet operations or event services in a luxury hotel.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with a focus on team development and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks and adapting to changing environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Greek and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in planning and executing large-scale events while maintaining high standards of service and presentation.
• Skilled in budgeting, inventory management, and cost control to optimize operational efficiency.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring smooth operations and swift resolution of guest or team member concerns.
• Prior experience with systems such as POS, MICROS, Delphi, or Opera will be considered an asset.
