We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on, and proactive person to join our team in a practical operational role. This position is mainly focused on maintenance, while also supporting housekeeping when needed and helping coordinate daily activities between the two teams.
This is not just a supervisory role — we’re looking for someone ready to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team to keep our hostel safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and staff.
What you’ll do:
You will take care of daily maintenance tasks, including small repairs, troubleshooting, minor electrical and plumbing work, painting, and preventive maintenance, ensuring that rooms, common areas, and technical systems are always in good condition. You’ll intervene promptly to resolve issues and guarantee smooth day-to-day operations.
Alongside maintenance, you will support housekeeping activities when needed, helping maintain high quality standards in rooms and common areas and collaborating closely with the team to improve efficiency and workflow.
You’ll also help organize daily priorities between maintenance and housekeeping, facilitate communication with other departments, monitor tools and cleaning supplies, report reordering needs, and ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in maintenance (hospitality or facility environment preferred).
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
Willingness to actively support housekeeping when required.
Good level of English and Greek (daily interaction with international staff and guests).
Practical mindset and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
Positive attitude and strong team spirit.
