You'll work primarily against our Oracle 19c database — writing and optimizing the PL/SQL that sits at the core of our systems - and collaborate closely with the rest of the team on new features, migrations, and day-to-day improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and maintain PL/SQL - packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views — to meet business requirements.
- Model and evolve database structures: schemas, tables, indexes, sequences, constraints, and collections.
- Turn business requirements into sound technical designs, and document them clearly for the team.
- Investigate and fix bugs, and tune slow queries and processes for performance.
- Take part in code reviews - both giving and receiving feedback - to keep quality high and spread knowledge across the team.
- Write and run unit tests, and support integration and user-acceptance testing through to release.
- Work alongside colleagues on the application layer (Magic / C# .NET) to deliver features end to end.
- Follow good practice around data security, integrity, and access as part of everyday development.
