Περιγραφή

PwC is handling on behalf of its client, a well-established Group of Companies in the field of Retail, a Chief Accountant position in Sofia.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensurethe company’s statutory compliance including financial statement signing, reporting, filing of returns, remittance of payment and claiming refunds, Tax and Corporation tax returns to the country’s GAAP & IFRS
  • Ensure the legal and fiscal compliance of the company’s bookkeeping and accounting operations as well as the Group’s reporting requirements
  • Prepare the monthly and annual closing of books, ensuring that the bookkeeping standards used, meet the demands stated by the national legislation
  • Ensure that all suppliers are paid in accordance with the agreed policies and procedures as well as the respective contract terms
  • Identify and eliminate any gaps or non-efficient operations regarding the area of responsibility
  • Ensure that all accounting, company, legal and health & safety guidelines are followed in all areas of responsibility and at all times
  • Monitor and manage all operating costs and P&L elements related to the areas of responsibility
  • Select, develop and maintain a motivated team capable of achieving the agreed objectives

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Main Qualifications / Personal Characteristics

  • 5-8 years of related working experience, preferably in retail sector
  • 2-3 years of experience in a managerial position within organized accounting departments
  • University Degree of Accounting, Finance or other related field; Master Degree will be considered an asset
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Accounting Policies, Local GAAPs and IFRS
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient user of MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion will be considered an asset
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Commercial aptitude and retail understanding
  • Strong team management skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously
