The Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor will report to the Quality Control Manager and he/she will be responsible for:

• Planning and supervising the activities of the QC Laboratory and related operations and is to fulfill the duty of Head of QC as per EU GMP Guideline, Eudralex and the Maltese Legislation.
• Testing of raw materials, routine production batches, stability and process validation samples
• Ensuring cGMP compliance as per local procedures, and EU Eudralex Volume 4GMP guidelines
• Provides support, direction and coaching to subordinates
• Maintains departmental employee recruitment, selection, training, development, safety, promotion and retention levels to ensure proper and effective staffing
• Ensure a high standard of GLP, good housekeeping and hygiene in the laboratories
• Reviewing and preparing annual budget for QC Laboratory
• Preparing and presenting metrics and reports
• Assuring that all laboratory documentation are completed and accurate
• Reviewing the schedules of laboratory workload to ensure timely completion of testing

The ideal candidate for the position of Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor will be required to possess the following:

• University Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Biology / Pharmacy or other
• At least 5-8 years of progressive management experience in relevant position
• PC literacy (MS Office)
• Proficient use on English language
• Good Manufacturing Practices, Good laboratory practices, FDA guidelines and other regulatory requirements
• Well developed organizational and planning skills
• Results orientation and efficiency
• Attention to accuracy
• Analytical skills
• Adaptability skills to contact, working and communicating with different people
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration
• Team player
