Quality Assurance Manager-Food Industry

The primary scope of this position is to ensure that company’s total quality system is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. The Executive will be responsible to evaluate existing, and identify new or enhanced systems and processes, which advance business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Direct quality initiatives that accomplish continuous improvement and enhance site quality system efficiencies
- Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them. Assess the effectiveness of changes made
- Ensure quality and sustainability of production processes and make sure that manufacturing processes meet national and international standards
- Examine ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
- Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
- Set standards for quality, as well as health and safety
- Work closely with R&D team
- Liaise with other managers and staff and provide trainings and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
- Manage a team of quality control technicians
- Perform internal audits, represent the company in external audits, maintain inspection and audit records. Analyze and interpret audit results and introduce actions required
