Senior Mechanical Engineer (Energy Projects) – Ref. 6269/MEP/ESS/GR
Job Overview
The role focuses on engineering design, implementation, and operation of energy infrastructure projects. It covers the full project lifecycle from design and development to construction and long-term operation, while the position is based at the company’s headquarters in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical assessment of hydropower and pumped storage projects.
- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical installations, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults, coordinating repair activities with internal teams and external partners.
- Coordinate project execution and implement technical improvements to enhance performance, availability, and asset lifetime.
- Participate in the development of new projects within their area of responsibility, ensuring timely technical input and follow-up on all required permits and approvals.
- Support technical decision-making and contribute to the reliable and efficient operation of energy assets.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Energy sector).
- Master’s Degree in renewable energy, hydropower, or hydraulic works will be considered a strong asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience with involvement in energy, hydraulic, or infrastructure projects, or hands-on experience in the maintenance of industrial plants or facilities.
- Excellent command of English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and engineering-related software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
