ICAP Executive Search & Selection on behalf of a well-established Group of Companies is looking for a motivated and skilled professional for the position of Accountant.
Accountant (6292/AC/ESS/GR)
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting activities of multiple companies and entities.
- Strong experience in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, withholding taxes, E9 and Special Real Estate Tax (EFA).
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure the proper classification and recording of financial transactions.
- Participate in the preparation and review of statutory financial statements in accordance with Greek GAAP; knowledge of IFRS will be considered an asset.
- Perform and review bank, supplier, customer and general ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and support the execution and accounting treatment of payments.
- Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports and management information.
- Support the Finance Manager with year-end closing procedures and external audit requirements.
- Monitor accounting and tax deadlines and ensure timely compliance with statutory obligations.
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Approximately 4–6 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
- Strong tax background, with solid knowledge of Greek tax legislation and practical experience in tax matters relating to companies holding and managing real estate assets.
- Experience in multi-company environments or SPV structures will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience within a reputable accounting, tax advisory or professional services firm is highly desirable.
