ICAP Executive Search on behalf of its client, a well-established and profound Group of premium Hotels based in Rhodes, is seeking for an experienced individual to cover the position of Maintenance & Technical Services Director for the Group.
Maintenance & Technical Services Director (4939/MTS/ESS/GR)
The Maintenance & Technical Services Director will be accountable for supervising the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment, infrastructure and facilities of the Group by prioritizing, planning, scheduling and assigning tasks to technical/maintenance staff. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in a similar position and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Hospitality sector. The position will report to the BoD.
Main Responsibilities:
• Health & Safety: Responsible for ensuring compliance with H&S regulations, inspecting building installations (TO, AXA, TUV, etc.), organizing annual fire safety licenses (HD384), and communicating with external partners such as security technicians, engineers etc.
• Preventive Maintenance & Damage Recovery: Undertakes the responsibility to plan, monitor and execute the preventive maintenance schedule for summer and winter seasons, supervise the progress of work on the smooth opening of hotels, set up an iMaint program across the group, coordinate external contractors etc.
• New Constructions & Renovations: Managing contractors in order to coordinate renovations, remodeling projects and new constructions. Responsible for monitoring the biding process, collecting financial proposals, performing market research, monitoring costs, managing inventory & procurement. Ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Licensing of Facilities & Filing: Monitoring of licensing procedures (bathing tanks, Fire Safety, AEPO, etc.), organizing and keeping electromechanical records of all hotels in electronic or printed form where required. Ensuring that proper records are kept relating to all premises and equipment for the Group including repair and service records.
• Reporting: Performing regular property inspections, providing all necessary documentation to authorities and creating reports for BoD members and Hotel Managers as required.
• Administration duties: Responsible for maintaining budgets, expenses and activity logs, meeting/exceeding financial goals. Complying with the Groups vision, mission and standards in performing maintenance, construction and other related activities. Developing, implementing, and directing all emergency programs while ensuring that training programs are followed by the staff.
