The Opportunity
Are you a coffee connoisseur with a passion for creating exceptional coffee experiences? If so, we want to hear from you! We are searching for a High-End Barista to join our team and elevate our coffee program. You will be responsible for crafting a variety of espresso-based beverages and brewing methods, while also educating guests on coffee origins, roasting profiles, and flavor profiles.
Responsibilities:
Coffee Expertise:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of various coffee origins, roasting profiles, and brewing methods
- Master the art of espresso extraction, ensuring consistent quality and optimal flavor in every cup
- Prepare a variety of espresso-based beverages including latte art, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and flat whites
- Brew coffee using various methods such as pour-over, Chemex, and French press, showcasing the unique characteristics of each bean
- Stay informed about coffee trends and innovations, continually seeking ways to enhance the coffee program
Guest Service & Experience:
- Deliver exceptional guest service with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Engage with guests, answer their questions about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Recommend coffee beverages based on guest preferences and offer personalized service
- Ensure a clean and inviting coffee bar area, maintaining proper equipment hygiene and presentation
Operational Excellence:- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper sanitation and equipment calibration
- Stock coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies, anticipating needs and maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Calibrate and maintain espresso machines and grinders, ensuring optimal performance and consistent coffee quality
- Assist with training and development of other baristas, fostering a passionate and knowledgeable coffee team
Qualifications:- Minimum 3 years of experience as a barista in a high-end coffee shop or specialty cafe environment
- Demonstrated expertise in espresso extraction, latte art, and various brewing methods
- In-depth knowledge of coffee origins, roasting profiles, and flavor profiles
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with guests and build rapport
- Strong passion for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to quality and flawless execution
- Fluency in Greek and English is required. Additional language skills are a plus
