Natural Gas and LNG Commercial Negotiator

Περιγραφή

1. Working closely with Head of LNG and Gas Supply and the broader commercial team to understand the core commercial goals of Gas Supply, mainly across Greece, Mediterranean and SE Europe.
2. Collaborate with head of gas supply to define a commercial execution strategy and manage execution in the cash and seasonal markets for region of responsibility with regard to:
• Preparing for short-term and near-term obligations in the existing portfolio
• Liquidating existing open positions and ensuring effective commodity flow for known obligations
• Optimizing the cash and near-term portfolio across hedge position, transport or storage
• Creating incremental portfolio value based on proprietary opportunities in line with budgeted expectations
• Providing pricing support for structured transactions or new asset decisions
• Identifying and valuing capacity release opportunities increasing the flexibility and value of the aggregate portfolio
• Presenting to the stakeholders about optimization opportunities, market condition, and performance results
3. Developing a strong understanding of technical and fundamental market information related to cash and seasonal commercial strategy.
4. Working with trading, credit, risk and fundamentals to ensure the transactions are properly evaluated and analyzed, risk properly identified and transaction components properly priced.
5. Supporting deal structuring or origination activities.
6. Operating within the defined credit as well as risk limits and ensuring internal control and assurance processes are followed.
7. Ensuring operational controls are met, including timely and accurately capturing and validating trade data, as well as the trades are properly managed throughout the complete lifecycle.
8. Growing and maintaining strong industry relationships, including representing the Company at relevant industry events.
9. Mentoring and managing junior physical executors.
10. Assist with the implementation of commercial systems, processes and procedures to establish industry best practice and system, process and risk management capabilities.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in engineering (electric or mechanical), with any additional certificate in energy, natural gas, LNG or Power generation/electricity.
Minimum Experience
• 4 or more years of experience in the LNG, natural gas or power markets with physical purchase and sales expertise
• Strong knowledge of the physical gas markets , related assets and infrastructure
• Considerable knowledge of natural gas transactions including purchase, sale, transportation, storage with exposure to other structured transactions
• Extensive experience in cash and seasonal physical trading with some exposure to financial instruments including price and basis to support portfolio risk management
• The ability to make sound commercial decisions with limited oversight
• Ability to work with ICE and Heren platforms
• A successful P&L track record
• Excellent industry relationships and reputation
• Experience structuring complex, long term purchase and sales, transportation and storage agreements

• Demonstrated history of making sound commercial decisions with limited oversight
• Strong financial modeling expertise
• Excellent presentation and soft skills
• Strong negotiation
