Maintenance Chief Technician

Randstad on behalf of THEMA S.A. the Operation and Maintenance Company managing theThessaloniki Metro Network, is looking for a Maintenance Chief Technician based in Thessaloniki.

The Maintenance Chief Technician will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day activities in accordance with to plan
• Work independently on performing planned and corrective Maintenance activities in your area
• Responsible for compliance with Technical, Safety, and Quality procedures in carrying out the assigned activities
• Responsible for reporting on the performed activities in the Maintenance Management System (e.g. SAP) and communicating with the Head of the department
• Responsible for developing the competence in own team/department in cooperation with the nearest manager
• Responsible for sharing knowledge, and know-how to own team/Department
• Supporting the Head of the department in budgeting
• Responsible for the technical structure etc. is updated in SAP
• Participating in recruiting of staff in own department
• To secure the department only undertake safety-related tasks for which certification/training has been obtained
• Participate/collecting and supporting in fault finding and reporting to the technical department
• Participate in the "FLRT" team (first-line response team) for maintenance of operations and other technical equipment
• Ensure daily work is conducted following the applicable regulations, rules, standards, and procedures related to railway safety
• Ensure that daily work is conducted per the applicable regulations, rules, standards, and procedures related to the work environment
• Contribute to and maintain the company quality management system through compliance with the outlined procedure and instructions

The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Chief Technician role must possess:

• Relevant technical qualification (Mechanical)
• Minimum 5 years experience after completion of apprenticeship/training
• Experience in the railway sector and prefer knowledge of permanent way systems
• Must be able to work at all hours – primarily Nighttime
• Experience with IT (Windows, Microsoft Office, SAP or similar)
• Good oral and written English
• Experience in technical-related tasks, including troubleshooting mechanical components
• Driver license category Β
• Ability to initiate and complete tasks and report the results written and orally
• Ability to work in a structured process
• Ability to cooperate with everyone in the department and solve tasks by a combination of his/her know-how and that of others (Teamwork)
