CATERING OFFICER (Πειραιά)

We are looking to hire for our office at Piraeus a Catering Officer.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- To look after the victualing requirements of approximately 30-35 vessels.
- To prepare quotations and purchase orders, facilitating procurement of provisions and other stores.
- To ensure prompt and efficient communication with the vessels and clients.
- To monitor operating budgets and communicate any reporting issues or overconsumption to the respective vessels in cooperation with Administration Department.
- To monitor quality of victualing services delivered on board and ensure that these meet/exceed client and crew expectations.
- Any other duties which catering management may require to be carried out.

- University degree in Maritime Supply Chain Management or in Culinary Management.
- Prior experience in a similar position or experience in Food & Beverage on-board cruise or offshore vessels.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Procurement/Accounting systems.
- The highest personal integrity standards, a positive outlook and be self-motivated to develop & succeed.
- Very good interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills with excellent command of the English language. 

Desired attributes
- Good understanding of various cuisines such as Indian, Chinese, Greek and French will be considered an advantage.
- Languages ( in addition to the essential requirements) such as Chinese will be considered a major advantage
